Who's standards are we living by?
We're fooled into what we know as security
We're given the formula to prosperity

Masked in lies and a false prophecy
I've always known there's no life after death
So a purpose seems pretentious
I'm left on this planet looking for something to do
And I refuse to treat my life as a pass time
working the 9-5, believing that all I'm good for is having kids, buying a house and waiting to die.
My thoughts are like a blinding light
It's too much to process
But this system is the key to emptiness
So I'll make my purpose
I'll play by my rules

Or you'll catch yourself thinking "why?"

Avoiding Confrontation isn't my calling
There are two forces strongly conflicting
an urge to satisfy everyone and a craving for what I think is justice
Passivity is in me
But not as much as the rage and disgust that drives me
This defines me
Our leaders are clowns
We aren't taught self respect
morals are obsolete,
We're taught that Women are made for sex
The worst part is we've forgotten how to love
We are segregated
We are separated
This rage consumes me unless I do something with it
So I'll try my best to use it for good
That's why we're banded together
This is an open invitation to be one of us
To come together
To strive to be better
To Look in the mirror every day
Make a change
I don't see race
We come on this earth with a clean slate
We must hold ourselves accountable for our actions
Take control of your life
Chose to thrive
Face your fears
Face yourself
